Matthieu Chazal
French photographer born in 1975, based in Bordeaux and Istanbul. Graduated in philosophy and journalism, he became journalist in the daily newspaper "Sud Ouest" in Bordeaux in 2001. Freelance photographer since 2005, the main issues of his researches are on European borders (Maghreb, Eastern Europe, Caucasus), minorities and nomads (Gypsies of Turkey, Tatars) and displaced people (Georgian and Abkhasian refugees).
